Documentation Analyst/Technical Writer

ASRC Federal Mission Services is seeking a Documentation Analyst to support a government contract in Sterling, VA.
The technical writer will: Write, format, and update detailed design documents, CONOPs, System Admin Guides (SAG), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Ensure accuracy and completeness in every output document, including, grammatical and numeric values Review/proof Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations Interview Administration and Engineering staff to obtain documentation requirements Analyze, revise and update procedures used to validate data
Required skills: Must be detail-oriented, self-motiviating, and have ability to meet strict deadlines. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to work independently. Ability to collaborate successfully with a project team including project management and technical leads. Expert applicable knowledge of English grammar Proficiency in technical composition and modification of documentation so that it is easily understood by a wide layman audience Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the technical writing field Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to obtain/maintain a position of Public Trust Clearance.
A BS/BA or equivalent and at least four (4) years' experience in the field. Eight (8) years of related experience is equivalent to a BS/BA in a related discipline
