Job Description


ASRC Federal Mission Services is seeking a Documentation Analyst to support a government contract in Sterling, VA.

Responsibilities:

The technical writer will:

  • Write, format, and update detailed design documents, CONOPs, System Admin Guides (SAG), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness in every output document, including, grammatical and numeric values
  • Review/proof Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
  • Interview Administration and Engineering staff to obtain documentation requirements
  • Analyze, revise and update procedures used to validate data

    Required skills:

  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motiviating, and have ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to collaborate successfully with a project team including project management and technical leads.
  • Expert applicable knowledge of English grammar
  • Proficiency in technical composition and modification of documentation so that it is easily understood by a wide layman audience
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the technical writing field
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a position of Public Trust Clearance.
  • Education/Experience:

    A BS/BA or equivalent and at least four (4) years' experience in the field. Eight (8) years of related experience is equivalent to a BS/BA in a related discipline
