This position works remotely.

Primary job responsibilities include:

  • Analyzes solicitation documents and requirements to develop compliant response templates (e.g., compliance matrices, proposal outlines)
  • Evaluates proposal staffing and recruiting requirements, creates job descriptions, duties, and qualifications.
  • Researches competitive staffing information to include personnel skill sets, resumes, and salaries utilizing tools such as LinkedIn, Salary.com, BLS.gov, etc.
  • Conducts candidate and personnel interviews to determine suitability, technical acumen, and salary ranges.
  • Coordinates with pricing team and assists with price to win strategy.
  • Writes proposal content, as needed, for sections such as technical response via interview, past performance, resumes, and other sections not requiring subject matter expertise
  • Establishes and coordinates schedules and meetings
  • Maintains version control of proposal documents
  • Edits and performs general quality control on proposal content
  • Performs desktop publishing activities and participating in the final production of proposals
  • Evaluates technical sections - text, layout, graphics, etc. - for storytelling quality, consistency, coherence, clarity, and compliance with technical requirements and for alignment with solutions and themes.
  • Interacts with Proposal Manager, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Teaming Partner members to obtain content necessary to draft compelling proposal sections
  • Follows through with production of submittals, including printing, collating, binding and packaging
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of an opportunity pipeline
  • Tracks upcoming opportunities and conducts industry and market research and analysis
  • Expands upon and maintains a repository of proposal templates, boilerplate language, and updated past performance information
  • Minimum Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in English, journalism, communication, marketing, international relations or related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in proposal writing and/or coordination, preferably with experience in federal government proposal writing and/or contracting
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Excellent researching, reading and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to support and manage multiple concurrent proposals with shifting priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of colleagues with varying levels of proposal experience
  • Strong capabilities with Word, Power Point , SharePoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Graphics programs
  • Possess initiative and ability to work effectively in high-stress situations with tight deadlines and to prioritize activities as needed to accomplish assigned tasks
