Raytheon Technologies is seeking an experienced Technical Writer & Editor to join an exciting new opportunity. The Technical Writer & Editor possesses a thorough understanding of the scientific and technical subject matter, documentation content, and requirements, recommends and develops diagrams, charts, and graphs that increase the user’s understanding.

The Technical Writer & Editor will work with teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of scientific and technical information, documentation content, and requirements, develop diagrams, charts, and graphs that increase the user’s understanding, develop high-quality documentation with no guidance that is easy-to-understand, easy to use, meets applicable standards, and meets the objectives and goals for the intended audience.
The Technical Writer & Editor will analyze existing and potential content and suggests enhancements to content and its presentation, standardizes content across document and briefing libraries, revises documents to remain current to the projects progress.
The Technical Writer & Editor requires proficiency and proven capability in the below areas:
Ability to collect and organize information required for preparation of documents, training materials, guides, proposals, and reports
Ability to provide technical edits to engineering documentation, software documentation, manuals, reports, or any other documents or presentations
Ability to utilize strong writing, editing, and communication skills to analyze and present complex information in a format that is easy to read and understand
Possesses strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent communications skills
Possesses strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office and excellent writing skills

Education & Experience Required :
7+ years technical writing and editing experience with a High school diploma; or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in English, Business or related discipline and with 5+ years of technical writing and editing experience
